For your first OSR, please watch a film from the list below. Remember, these are not film reviews. They are an exploration of one aspect of the film, such as characterization, setting, or acting. For example, a reflection on The Wizard of Oz might focus on the social order of Oz or the use of black and white versus color. What it should not be is a summary of the film or your overall impression. Always look for a specific aspect of the film to focus on. Look for a sample OSR—much longer than what you are required to write—in the Dropbox section of this website.
